The simplest VSTs always end up being the most versatile, to me, because they are not crowded in their own effects. The sound and tone of Medusa is really nice!

The goal of this Battle of the Bits contest was to make a piece using only a single VST, which was the single-oscillator (and unfiltered and un-reverbed) VSTi called Medusa.

Needs more melody, I just couldn’t think of enough material in time for the deadline. It was a tough month and stuff kept coming up here and there; I’ll do better next month.

This is the sixth draft, the other five sounded too dreary for the “uplifting” theme. I’ll try to use the voting period to “recharge.”

DS-10. I considered this for the compilation but it’s too static sounding, I want to do something happier for that. I hope I can record something soon enough. Otherwise, I like this a little too much not to share. The melody is made in one of the drum channels.
