This is my first attempt in one of Battle of the Bits’ big remix competitions, this one is called Ann Arbor, after the town where they have the listening party when it’s done. I made it very quickly and with quite a bit of assistance, and actually, I learned some neat techniques in the process, but also learned that there are a couple folks there that are pretty good, the overall winner posting the best score they’ve ever seen. Mine placed third in the “arboriginality” category, which I think means they thought my idea was original, though to be honest, my idea was to turn in a tune just to find out how the competition works. It did well enough that their ranking system calls me a “mixist” now.
