This won SounDevotion Competition round 98!

It doesn’t seem as bad when tragedies repeat
Inside your world, the wonders never cease
Because tonight we will find our peace in Heaven’s hands

Waiting patiently at home, you take me to your world
Where I can make a difference, and together we will grow
I can’t help what happens outside anyway
I wish they would all go away
These problems don’t bother us

I’ve wanted to make a song with this title for some time. I wanted the song to be about using video game escapism to hide from a crumbling family life, with focus on the way it feels instead of preaching and being overtly nostalgic.

This song was mostly constructed from SNES and N64 Legend of Zelda samples.

I haven’t made a song like this for a while.

For those who don’t get the reference: nin = inside; ten = heaven/sky; do = hand/technique/method
