Spoken word vocal by Zundamon, a voicebank for VOICEVOX speech synthesizer.

With every breath, a soothing breeze wrapped in blankets of tranquility
In dreamscapes wild, we roam afar where wishes a stars

In the arms of dreams, we gently lie under the shade of a cloudless sky
夜空の星が微笑んでいる

一日の中でたりないプレイする時間ない
時間は流れて行くいつものぼり続ける

In the Arms of Dreams is a soft ballad I’ve been working on for some time, hoping to blend the new sound of Synthesizer V with the less fluid sound (by default) of UTAU in order to reunite the famous UTAU 3.

I wonder if I should use spoken word parts more often.

Every five or ten years there’s a shakedown
Toxic people get caught in the breakdown
And they soon fade away

Nothing can undo the trouble hate leads to

For now I’m freed from those opinions
I can be myself again
I will make my own way forward
Be myself in my domain

In my own default space, rediscover my grace
Rise above lies and hate

Every five or ten years, the hurt reappears
Seems it won’t go away

Shakedown a new vocal and mix of the song for the Infloresce charity festival compilation at Battle of the Bits which raised funds to shelter transgender people and support their right to exist. There is no excuse for abandoning family and friends for something that has no consequence for anyone else.

The meaning of the lyric is about the cycle of cliques that seem to be in charge of the music scenes I participate in, and how some bad actor always seems to come along, be ignored at first, then ruin the clique, after which a new clique forms in its ashes and we do it all over again. I always feel like an outsider to these cliques. I don’t feel so bad once I learn they weren’t all that great after all.

In another era I would have wanted to release them as a so-called Double A Side, I’m only describing Shakedown second because it is the older song.

Why Is This Train Always Late?

To Mike, the only other person who knows what this song means.

Vocals by Kasane Teto, a voicebank for Synthesizer V.

The walls of the station cry
Spray paint prophesy
The fires burn out in the distance
We were reading to pass time

Jimmy Hoffa’s buried in the end zone
Black helicopters in the sky
A big hole where a tower should be
OSHA labor spies

Why is this train always late?

Through sweat and tears we made our stand
With picket signs in hand
And as the change came rolling in
We waited for justice to begin

I consider what I do to be punk-adjacent because I try to handle almost everything myself, but this time I wanted to capture the energy and use the guitars more.
